1. Suman Kalyanpur(Hemmadi) - famous playback singer of 70s-80s in Bollywood.
2. Prof.S.Shetter, Former History Prof. and an ace historian. Youngest Prof. of KUD. His book on reincarnation is acknowledged as one of the masterpieces.
3. Guru Katti and Som Shirguppi - upcoming cricketers from DWR playing for Karnataka and favourables for the test team.
4. Prof. Krish Koliwad of JPL, NASA. Inventor of "Ion Implantaion Process" used in chips. Considered as a land mark invention in semi-conductor industry. Incidently student of Prof.Savadatti.
5. S.G.Nadgir, retired national award winning teacher, father of innovative education like coaching for NTSE in DWR.

Thought I am from Hubli I have lot of relatives in Dharwad.
